In my studio, I see a wide variety and abilities and conditions, and plan programmes to suit their needs and abilities. This can be either as part of a group class limited to 10, or as a private one to one.
I work closely with many local health professionals - from surgeons to physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths - who all refer their patients to me for safe exercise. I get a lot of clients with back pain, although a referral is not necessary. Feel free to contact me directly for an assessment.
I don’t just teach those needing rehab though; I work to prevent injuries and strengthen the body, and teach awareness of functional movements - it's a great discipline to stay fit and healthy.
I am highly qualified in both Pilates mat work and equipment. I limit class numbers, so we can plan each session around the people attending and their requirements. It’s the nearest you can get to personal training without the costs.
My sessions are hands on to ensure you work with correct alignment and posture at all times and get the most out of each class - there is little value for you watching me have a workout. I focus on correct alignment and proper technique in each and every class, giving you a superior Pilates experience to classes you might find in gyms or health clubs.
As part of my commitment to the teacher training programme, there will occasionally be student teachers in the classes alongside me, as the they work through their supervising teaching programme. This is an added bonus - another pair of eyes watching your work and helping you to find the correct alignment!
The studio is situated in Lincoln's historical tourist area in Bailgate, near the Cathedral. It is fully equipped, so all you need to get started is your mind and body. I aim to have a stress-free environment to help you achieve your goals.

I am very experienced teaching those of you with back pain; I understand the very real fear that you might have about an exercise class when you have had chronic back pain, and I can certainly show you how to exercise effectively and gently without risk of further injury or damage.
For those of you who might think Pilates is only for back problems, I can show you its anything but limited. Cirque Du Soleil performers all do Pilates with the equipment I use in our studio. Many top athletes in all sports now use Pilates equipment to challenge their fitness in ways not possible with conventional gym equipment, along with professional dancers (as I did myself).
Pilates really is for everyone!
